Inspirational Picture

As some of you may know, this is a picture of my cousin Luke. To some of you, it may not seem that inspirational, but he is definitely an inspiration in my life. Luke was born in Haiti about five years ago. His mother couldn't care for him anymore, so she abandoned him on the streets of Haiti. Little did Luke know at the time that he would soon be living a great life here in Peoria. A guard found him later on the streets and gave him to the lady who worked at the orphanage. My uncle and my aunt were visiting Haiti, and they found my future cousin in the orphanage. He had many scratches and bruises from the orphanage, and they decided they would adopt him. He was born with a kidney problem that was soon cured when he reached Peoria. He is surrounded by a loving family and a great lifestyle.

Wow. This story of Luke amazes me. I always assumed that Luke was actually your cousin. His story is amazing and it definitely raises my respect for him. Your uncle and aunt must be extremely nice people, as most of the Carrolls are. This is an extremely virtuous act that they have committed to. I feel very lucky to have been able to meet Luke. I am also sure that Luke realizes what an amazing family he lives among and is very grateful.
