Former Newscast with Lexi Deceanne!
My computer is not cooperating with me, and all my projects are saved onto my computer at school. I will have a better video posted tomorrow at 7:00 A.M., but since I cannot do anything on my stupid computer at home, here is the URL for my newscast with Lexi:

P.S. I'm really sorry, Mrs. Brown! I didn't realize my computer wouldn't do it. I'll definitely have it really early in the morning though!

Post-Blog
I just wanted to let you know I would love it if next semester's classes would comment on my blogs, too! That would be FUN! :]
Love you all!
Love you all!
Final Post!
I cannot believe that this is the last blog post I will ever have to do. I can't even explain how much I loved computer class. Mrs. Brown, you were such a fun teacher, and I really enjoyed working with you. I had such a fun class, too. We kept each other entertained, and that class always gave me something to look forward to. It was the highlight of my morning. Even though we will all be moving on to speech class, I hope Mrs. Brown understands how much fun her class was and how much I will miss it. I want to give a shout-out to Lexi and Squev because they made the class so much fun. Lexi, Squev, and Kevin, I hope you all remember all the pictures we took on Photo Booth, and how much I annoyed Squevan every day. That was truly so much fun, and I will really miss it. I hope we will be able to do group projects in our speech class, because I always have so much fun working with you three! I made many new friends in that class, as well. Mary Huether, I didn't know you existed before computer class! Thanks to my class and Mrs. Brown for such a fun semester!

Winter Season
There are many good things about winter, and there are many bad things. First of all, I love the snow. It is always so much fun to be able to sled and snowboard and have snowball fights. However, I do not like the coldness at all. I hate being cold, and I hate having to wear coats everywhere. Winter is way too cold for me, and I do not enjoy the weather. The best part about winter, however, is being able to go inside and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows! That always warms me up. I also enjoy wrapping myself up in a blanket, but these days and nights have been too cold, and my blankets are even cold! The weather is very uncalled for, and I enjoy the heat more. Winter is the best season to cuddle up in blankets and eat hot chocolate, and if you dare go outside, be sure to dress extremely warmly!

Newscast Project Experience
I wrote this blog earlier, and you can view it below. I would like to mention that Lexi and I have tried to record our newscast, and we were both laughing a bit during it, but it's finally done!

What I'm Thankful For
Thanksgiving is coming up, which should remind us all of what we are thankful for. I have so many blessings in my life to be thankful for, and they are all too numerous to mention. However, I will mention some of the most important ones to me. First of all, I am absolutely so grateful for my family and my parents. They are just so amazing and fun, and I couldn't have asked for better ones. My family is so close, and I know that not a lot of families share that special bond. I am thankful for all the amazing friends I have made throughout my gradeschool and high school years. They are all so important to me, and I don't know how I'd live without them. I am thankful for my grandparents because they have always helped me out with life. In addition, many people do not have a lot of food or water. I am so grateful that we can have that because I know of some people who cannot share that blessing. Every night I thank God for everything I have, and I am so happy that I live in my life with so many friends surrounding me.

Invention
This isn't the most creative idea, but I would love to invent a time machine. Whenever I get something wrong or do something I shouldn't have, I just want to go back in time to redo it. I also would love for this time machine to freeze time, so I can have more time doing a certain thing. I would be able to go back to any of the days of my life and relive them. On this transportation machine would be a little dial with many different dates or activities on it. I could just turn to one of the categories and live it over again. This would be very useful if you had an awesome time doing something and just wanted to relive it, and it would also be useful on a tests. Some may think it's cheating, but I believe it is using resources wisely!

Political Cartoon

This week in computer class, we had to choose a political cartoon. I chose this cartoon because I think it shows a lot of how our world is these days. The quote says "I figure it's easier to find a war than a job these days." Many people are struggling with the war, and many people are also struggling with finding jobs for their family. This is an issue in our world today, and hopefully Barack Obama, our new president, will be able to set things straight in 2009 and the next three years.

Podcast Progress
I have finally finished my scary movie podcast. I chose The Ring as my scary movie, and you can see the trailer for it in the other post. It is such a scary movie, but I really enjoyed it. I watched it again on halloween night with my friends, and I forgot how scary the movie was. Since the podcast is finished, I turned it into Mrs. Brown. Before I turned it in, I added in the effects of "hard rain," "thunder roll," and "thunder clap." I chose the hard rain for throughout my whole podcast to make it even scarier. The thunder roll, unfortunately, was not loud enough to be heard under my voice and the hard rain, but you could hear the thunder clap. These effects made the podcast scarier to listen to.
Newscast Podcast Experience
So far, Lexi and I are doing well with our newscast podcast. We wrote it late last week, and we discussed the political views of our candidates. We talked about the upcoming election and what each candidate believed. I will be talking about Obama's political views, and Lexi will be talking about McCain's political views. Even though the election is over now, we wrote it in the future tense because we wrote it last week. However, Lexi and I couldn't record it because she was cheering for the eighth graders today, We will have to do it on Wednesday instead. Lexi and I are doing well on our podcast; we just have to record it now and hopefully get a 100%.

Inspirational Picture

As some of you may know, this is a picture of my cousin Luke. To some of you, it may not seem that inspirational, but he is definitely an inspiration in my life. Luke was born in Haiti about five years ago. His mother couldn't care for him anymore, so she abandoned him on the streets of Haiti. Little did Luke know at the time that he would soon be living a great life here in Peoria. A guard found him later on the streets and gave him to the lady who worked at the orphanage. My uncle and my aunt were visiting Haiti, and they found my future cousin in the orphanage. He had many scratches and bruises from the orphanage, and they decided they would adopt him. He was born with a kidney problem that was soon cured when he reached Peoria. He is surrounded by a loving family and a great lifestyle.
